Emily Pearlman , During her husband's military tour of duty, Emily became inspired after observing Japanese potters. After returning to the United States, she began taking pottery classes. She began as an assistant, attended many workshops and eventually began producing and selling her work.
Her pieces are wheel-thrown and handbuilt stoneware entirely crafted by Emily. Decorations and finishing touches are added while the clay is still damp. Glazes are mixed from non-toxic lead free dry chemicals. Every piece is fired at a temperature over 2280 degrees F which provides a durable chip resistant surface essential for dinnerware. Everything is dishwasher safe and microwaveable.
